Welcome to the Ferndown Branch of The Royal British Legion
The Royal British Legion is the UK’s leading Armed Forces charity and one of its largest membership organisations. Members get together through the network of branches and clubs all over the country and overseas to participate in social, fundraising and welfare activities.

The Branch Committee
Next Branch AGM is on the 13th November 2025
With 4 retirements, we are looking for new committee members. The commitment is not onus and easily manageable.
The Branch Committee usually meets on the first Tuesday of every second month. Our main aim is liaising with local councils to arrange the Remembrance Parades and Poppy wreath laying. The Committee also raises money for the Poppy appeal.
Our Standard Bearers provide assistance/training for the Military Cadet Forces.

Membership
Membership is open to everyone. If you have an interest supporting the Legion in the objectives and want to help and support those who have served and their families, come and join us. We welcome men and women of all ages, whether they have served in the Armed Forces or not.

For those who wish to join the Branch committee you must be a current Legion member. For Club membership you additionally will need to apply for the Club’s new membership at £15, or renewal at only £14 for the year.

Our local case officers provide general and crisis support. Regional specialist advisers help serving personnel and veterans seeking career and vocational advice and assist with War Pension Appeals and Armed Forces compensation claims. We also help people seeking money, benefits and debt advice; provide legal advice for inquests and help the carers’ of veterans (or their dependents) with dementia who are living at home.
